The Cooperation Operation
The Cooperation Operation is a nonprofit that took over a former Sherman William’s Paint Processing site in the Southside of Chicago. It has remediated the soil using mushrooms and grows food in an area that is known as a “food desert.”
We were able to generate both local and national recognition online, in print, and on tv. Our fundraising events surpassed our financial goals, generated a buzz, and fostered a community that kept coming back.
My role: Cofounder and Event Coordinator

Little Jack Marketing
Little Jack Marketing is an all-in-one marketing solution with a dedicated business coach for local small businesses in Chicago.
One of my all time favorite events was one that we hosted in the Sears Tower of Chicago. The theme was “Old vs. New” inspired by the popular debate over the renaming of the building to Willis Tower. There were hula hoopers vs. burlesque dancers, live Blues musicians vs. DJs all against the backdrop of the Chicago sunset. The booze overflowed like a 1920’s speakeasy because we got donations from local breweries and distilleries. Everyone had an amazing night and we felt good about it because we raised over a $1000 for Lurie’s Children’s Hospital.

Simones
Simones is an eco-friendly bar with recycled decor, DJ-spun tunes, craft beers & Mexican-inspired pub grub in Chicago’s popular Pilsen neighborhood.
Our monthly art events received local and national press. I was asked to give a tour of the neighborhood to a photographer from the Washington Post. We not only exhibited the work of Kriss Stress, the Chicago Reader’s Artist of the Year, but we were the only art event they did that year!
My Role: Art Curator, Media Relations, Event Coordinator

Sasha Tycko of Sixty Inches From Center interviewed me for an article about my design ethos. Fertile Design was mentioned in New City’s cover article about Charles Adler, a cofounder of Kickstarter.

a Night of a 1000 Jessicas
A Night of a 1000 Jessicas is a self help and culture help book about how we don’t have to wait for death to reincarnate into all the versions of ourselves, we don’t have to wait for the apocalypse to find utopia.
I used animation and video editing to create social media posts that tell stories from the book.
